For Oakland, after all these years, it is
still Al Davis.
I'd reckon that for the Colts for example, it is Peyton Manning.
For Atlanta, Michael Vick.
Texans, David Carr, IMO.

You're a bonehead if you think #20 trumps #5 as the "face" of your franchise.

You nailed it pop. It's this guy
<--------
Fortunately, he's a class guy who comes from a good background and plays as well from a cerebral standpoint as he does from a physical standpoint.
Unfortunately, he's got a reputation for being a great player who's never won a chamionship at any level.

If you're talking from the fans perspective, you'll find more #20 jersey's on the backs of Philly fans then you would #5.
The Eagles have been about defense for the last 15 years. Even when Randall was QB and he made his special plays, Reggie White, Jerome Brown were the true face of the Eagles. It's always been that way.
You seem to forget the infamous booing incident at the draft for McNabb.

I wasn't basing my claim on jersey sales.
Read... then post.

Then what were you basing it on since the links says
THE TOP SELLING JERSEY FOR THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES ....

This topic isn't about marketing it's about who the fans feal is the 'face' of the team and of the maybe 3-4 Eagles fans on this board, 2 have said Dawkins takes it over McNabb. Owens has not even been mentioned.
I have 1 Eagles Jersey hanging in my closet. It's #20.
Marketing figures are nice, if only you could tell me it was all fans of the Philadelphia Eagles not TO that purchased his jersey.. but you can't.

You don't read very well. YOU were the one who said Dawkins jerseys outnumbered McNabb jerseys. I posted data that showed that both TO and McNabb outsell Dawkins. I would venture to say that Westbrook does as well.

So, in your mind Dawkins represents the Eagles. That's cool. Just don't try to sell that to me based on jersey sales. Because that doesn't fly.

You ever see someone wearing a jersey of a team they are not a fan of who wasn't in a rap video?
I haven't.
T-Shirts and hats are one thing. But jerseys are pretty fucking expensive to be wearing if you don't even like the team you're representing.
