My fellow Raidernation brothers.....
Everyone seems to have thier own opinion in Raider camp regarding what should be done about this team.
This thread is for you to cement that thought and play GM for the Raiders.
What would you do?
I'll start with my assesment:
Head Coach-This position is the most critical, and the reason I absolutely HATE our pathetic fucking owner. Norv would be in the booth as an OC, and I'd have the meanest motherfucker available out there to whip these guys into game shape and keep them in check. I'd give Ryan the ultimatum of mixing in 40% more blitzes during gametime or getting the fuck out of the Organization.
QB- We are stuck with a certifiable pussy and piece of shit here for this season.....so, no change. In the offseason, he'd be gone for a QB who has leadership ability.
K- Jano would be cut. I dont fucking care who replaces him-anyone would be an upgrade. Fuck this fat cunt-he's ALWAYS been a choke job here.
O-Line-Walker would sit and Badger would be in.
RB- Jordan needs a fucking kick the ass-and signing Garner (Who will get in your face no matter who you are and tell it like it is) will help that situation in the next few weeks. (Then again, playcalling has alot to do with this as well)
The rest of the team is solid-But losing ways and bullshit ALL starts from the top-And since Al is a fucking old dried up cunt and hires only puppets to run his dated fucking schemes, I've begrudgingly accepted the fact that this team will not win a fucking thing until he dies and takes his 6 remaining lawsuits against the NFL with him.
Fuck him and his 70's bullshit "Vertical Passing Game"
Senile old bastard.

Collins a certifiable pussy? Not a huge fan of Collins, but he just put up 345 yds against a decent D in their house. He certainly played well enough for them to win.
I believe their young O-Line is fine. They gave up one sack yesterday.
Charlie Garner? laughable, unless they want him to play SS for Gibson.
Thru three games I see nothing wrong with their "70's vertical passing game"
Maybe you should be a little more specific in bagging on AL. By many accounts, the Raiders had one the best last offseasons (thru the draft and free agent acquisitions.) Who should get credit for that?
IMO - if you are not a fan of Al Davis you are not a Raider fan.

The worst is over, Raiderfan. Don't think that The Raiders will be the only AFC West teams being swept by NWE and PHI and KC isn't going 1-5 in division. They have actually shown some nut on their tough road games and while it'd be nice to see a win in there for ya, I think you can see some positives out of these losses and it is better to get those tough games out of the way now. I think Oakland still has a promising season ahead. They are only a couple of plays from being 2-1/3-0 and are putting a lot of pieces together still.
What's Carolina's excuse?

Laughable or not, he'll be signed sometime this week. This fucking team needs a leader (and a back who can catch a fuckin ball) badly-and he'll help in that role.

Yeah, how many fucking wins and super bowls has that translated to? As orc pointed out after the week 1 loss, we have all these neat toys and no fucking instruction manual for them. Who gives a fuck what your opinion is? I hate the motherfucker-for all the good he did for this franchise in its early years, he has done 10 times more damage to it through stupid fucking moves for the past 23 years.....like leaving Oakland and then L.A. (Fuck him for that), suing the league more than 20 times (you cant make this stupid shit up), and hiring puppets for head coaches. Lest we not forget the unwillingness to cut his losses with shit draft picks, and his penchant for "reaching" every fucking year in every draft.f you are not a fan of Al Davis you are not a Raider fan.

Norv and the staff aren't going anywhere in mid-season, IMO, so that is a mute point.
Al isn't going anywhere unless he dies, so that's also mute.
Just a few of my many thoughts............
Keep using the TE more in the passing game.
Speed up the tempo on offense, getting out of the huddle, quick counts, occassionally run a no-huddle offense.
Stop the madness with the penalties......SOMEHOW.
More WR slants.
Blitz once in a while.....duh.
Keep Brayton up front.
We're stuck with Gibson at safety this year unless we want to yank him and then stick CWood there while playing Washington or Routt opposite scrabble. *yikes*
6 of one, half-dozen of the other, IMO.
Coaching....?
Why wasn't Carr instructed to lay down on the ball IMMEDIATELY on the last kickoff (which everyone KNEW would be short)...?
Why didn't anyone get in his grille when he embarassed himself and the team with his idiotic play...?
Why wan't anyone in Janislobski's grille after ANY of his shit kicks already this season...?

Raiders made it to the Super Bowl three seasons ago. And as shitty as they played in that game, they play much better than the chargers did in their only appearance.
Also, I know Al wouldn't of let one of his best players (see A Gates) sit out a game. A fuck-up that probably cost them the game.

Raiderfan needs to relax. All will be ok after sunday when Moss gets to reunite with the secondary he has personally made his bitch for the better part of 6 years. This is the game you will need to get back on track. Collins throws for 400, Moss catches 3 TD's and 200 yards and the bleeding will stop.
You can personally thank my secondary for bringing you out of the funk your team has hovered in to start the season.

Good thread. RACK James.
A. We need a coach that has more control, and is allowed to lay down the law. Tom Coughlin would have been the perfect choice. As bad as the Raiders melted in the 2003-04 season they needed someone to come in and kick some tail. Of course that means Al would have to allow him to do so,which he won't. Thus Norv and his "Oh you scamp, don't do it again or I'll have to REALLY give you a stern warning" brand of discipline is brought in. Granted Callahan was in over his head but at least he tried to instill discipline and respect. Maybe if he had an owner who backed hin up things woulda turned out better.
Collins is a jeckel/hyde QB. He looks great in one series, then looks like fucking Jay Schroeder the next. He'll force passes in when he has no chance of completing them. Also he is too slow. Hes almost Kosar like. And 11 years in the league hasnt anyone ever worked with him on his mechanics? They are awful!
Courtney anderson until yesterday was grossly misused. The guy can play! Get him some touches, shit with Porter,Gabriel, and that other guy out there Anderson should be wide open all the time!
Jordan has struggled, but he can play. Remember he had a 52 yard TD run called back by dumbfuck Walkers holding call in the Chief game. Jordan will be fine.
Seabass needs to either drop 25 pounds,or practice his fucking accuracy instead of booming 70 yards in practice. Which I dispute because he can't even kick it into the endzone with a running start.
Derrick Gibson sucks.Nuff said. He is a bust.
Why are we using DEs as linebackers? they are getting badly outplayed. You saw it in the Patriot game. Brayton is a DE NOT a LB.
Unless they can correct the mental errors,I don't see any silver linings anytime soon.

Jordan had nowhere to run yesterday. The O-line didn't get it done for him. Give the Eagles their credit too. In the other 2 games Oakland was largely playing from behind and they mostly abandoned the running game. For a big guy, Jordan catches and runs well. I'd say he's a good, not great, receiver out of the backfield. They need a change-of-pace back......a quick, good hands guy who can catch on 3rd down. Fargas is never going to be that, IMO, so now we hear of 33 yr old C. Garner possibly being brought in. I frankly think he's 'bout out of gas. I guess if you can bring him in for the minimum then it can't hurt, but I have no illusions of him getting more than limited action. Jordan is the guy. We need to see Oakland leading in a game to see if they are actually capable of pounding him over and over at a defense.
And yeah, that 52 yarder called back sucks for his rushing average.

Sorry things aren't working out, Raidahfan. I don't really know what the fukk you expect, as I estimate that most teams in the NFL would have the same record to this point against that competition.
This thing ain't over yet and your team looks much improved over last year.
Norv will make believers of you all. Have some patience. As far as his past stops, focus on the seasons in Dallas, Washington and Miami when he actually had some talent to work with.
Put it this way: during the worst of times of Norv's reign with the 'Skins it was CRYSTAL FUKKING CLEAR to anyone not called CarlSpackler or grego that any fault in failure belonged to the sorry players on the field and the GM (Casserly) who brought them there.

Pretty decent post James.Raydah James wrote:Everyone seems to have thier own opinion in Raider camp regarding what should be done about this team.

Norv is what he is, I'll agree that he is much better suited as an OC rather than a HC.
KC is what he is as well. All or nothing although yesterdays loss had little to do with him IMO.
Didn't Jano just get resigned? Doubt he is going anywhere. He seems to be struggling with mechanics and has never been particularly mentally tough. He seems not to give a shit whether he makes or misses and if I was a fan I would find that extremely frsutrating.
O line....Got about an hour. I watched that whole game yesterday and your offensive line got dismantled. Good thing you drafted Gallery at #2, Grove in the early 2nd and signed Jordan so you could rush for 20 yards or so. Fucking Ron Stone spent more time on his back than Jenna Jameson in her latest flick and Langston Walker should not be anywhere near a starting job.
Your line as a whole is Charmin soft. Gallery is overrated and overhyped. He may look the part but he has yet to perform. You need two new Guards desperately. Grove is a joke when it comes to run blocking. That's one high number one pick, followed by 2 #2 picks on that line and you are getting killed there.
Bad drafting will kill you in the end.
Bitch about Jordan all you want but I'm betting in Denver dude would be making headlines with a decnet line blocking in front of him.

After week one everyone was complaining how Collins kept trying to get it to Moss to bail him out. After the last two weeks it's been the opposite. The only shit that irks me is when we are in the red zone that's when Moss should get the ball! Granny Goose the fucking ball in the end zone he will catch it!

Swing and a miss, strike 1.
Sorry velo but about 99% of the Washington DC metro area wouldn't agree.
Norv's Redskins were the epitome of underachievement. Starting out 6-2 and 7-1 only to finish 8-8 like 3 years in a row. Norv is not a leader, and inspires no one, or at least he didn’t in Washington.
Butkus didn't wear an earring.
Rack that take, I totally agree with that. When he finally got a QB and Stephen Davis got going, the Skins won the division in 99. He beat the Cowboys twice in 95 with Heath Shuler and Gus Frerotte at QB, keep in mind the Cowboys won the Superbowl that year. Like any coach, he needs talent to work with. How many playoff games has Rat face won since Elway retired? How many playoff games has Mike Holmgren won since he left Green Bay? If Norv has talent to work with, he'll get wins out of it.velocet wrote:Sorry things aren't working out, Raidahfan.

That said, the area where Norv seems to be soft is discipline, which is very important. The knock on him when he was here (well there were many) was that he was a great playcaller but that he wasn't a complete head coach. After Michael Westbrook beat up Stephen Davis he suspended him for a pre-season game. The Redskins had countless penalties that cost them games and playoff spots in 96 and 97. Norv is a good enough coach to get a team to the playoffs if he has the right talent.
At NE, KC and at Phi is a tough ass way to start a season and there aren't many teams that wouldn't be 0-3 after those 3 games. There are better QB's in the NFL than Collins, but there are worse ones also. The O-line needs an overhaul and they have to get better on defense, especially the front 7. And then there's the fat kicker. No way he should have been drafted that high. You can find kickers anywhere, the Colts found Vanderjagt in the freakin CFL. They could have had a good defensive player with that pick or Chad Pennington. They've got talent at WR, TE and RB, that's for sure. They need an infusion of speed and youth big time though, and yes, Al needs to kick the bucket for the franchise to turn around. Who would take over as owner when Al kicks it?

Mike, look in the mirror Bro. It seems that you are truly reflecting on your own person and taking it out on a football legend.ChargerMike wrote:Uh, you're opinion sux....the glory days are long gone, and I mean L-O-N-G gone. Whatever Owl did for the Raiduhs in the past is on the record, and props to him for that....However, he has lost his mind, needs a freekin walker to get around, oxygen to assist in breathing, sits in his booth like a marble statue, and has not added a thing to Raiduh football success in the past 10 years...IMOSirfindafold wrote:Collins a certifiable pussy?
It's time......no...it's past time for Owl to fade into the Black Hole never to be seen again.
Al Davis lost his mind? He sounded very sane last time her spoke on television.
So he's a marble statue that uses a walker and tanked oxygen. Let me get this right, you're doing old jokes? Very fresh, Mikey.
And again, if getting to the Superbowl is not doing a thing...where's your crown King Nothing?
The Raiders need to put heat on the opposing quarterback.
The excessive penalties must stop.
We must have leadership in all 3 phases of the game.
Accountability/passion/just win baby attitude
Execution of the offense - as John McKay said, "I'm all for it."
GO RAIDERS!!
