I've grown accustomed to imagining the worst case scenario happen with the Clones....but even I didn't see this one. TCU didn't beat ISU, ISU beat ISU. No running game, or kicking game whatsoever. Virtually ignoring Blythe the second quarter. Oh well. To the rest of the Big 12, best of luck. Hopeful...

As a clone fan who is accustumed to the worst case scenario always being the exact thing that happens to the Cyclones, the B12 will go 3-1 on it's remaining games with the lone loss being ISU. They'll give up a 13 point lead in the fourth quarter and end up losing by a field goal in overtime......bo...

Thus begins the calls for Alford's head from the Jihadic wing of the Hawkeye nation. Clearly, losing Horner hurt them, but did it cost them the game? Hard saying but it probably wouldn't have been a double digit loss. If the Cyclones keep improving and can maintain the intensity they've had the last...

His first year, he guides a team realing from defections, contraversy and new players to the NIT semi finals and 22 wins. The next year he takes an 8-8 team with no bench to the second round of the NCAA tourney along the way beating several ranked teams at home and on the road. The guy can coach.......

Depends on which Clone team shows up. The one that lost to Fresno and Iona and the Hawks win by 10. The one that played the other night at Drake and the Hawks could lose by 20. With Horner, I thought the Hawks had a more than decent chance of winning in Hilton. Without him it's going to be tough. Th...

In typical Iowa fashion, not many left the lots for the relative safety of Hilton Arena. Instead, most cracked a new beer and watched the lightning and clouds roll by. In actuality, the storm was about three miles to the west and missed the stadium. Most we got was some 30-40 mph winds and a cool li...

I don't know. I was at the game and I didn't see an inferior team playing Colorado. I saw two evenly matched teams playing each other straight up. A few defensive breaks by ISU was the difference in the game. And I would also say Colorado had MORE than a few calls go there way. From the bad spots, t...

I didn't say Nebraska couldn't recruit, I said they aren't going to be able to cherry pick like they used to. They won't be able to count on kids willing to walk on at Nebraska rather than take a full ride at schools like ISU, Missou, and Minnesota. In other words, they have to join the ranks of the...

Welcome to 21st century college football Husker fan. Here's why I don't think the Huskers will return to past glory anytime soon. One of the biggest reasons for the dominance of the Cornhuskers in the 70s, 80s, and 90s was its recruiting strength in the midwest as well as its walk on program. Quite ...

Iowa's not going to be in the NCAAs let alone the sweet sixteen. No depth. On the positive side, this could be Alfords last season. I really don't know how the rest of the season will go for each team. I'll have a better idea after the next couple of games. As you well know, ISU has never had a repu...

Way to sack up. Yes I did listen to Deace. The beautiful thing about his broadcast was, it was simply a rebroadcasting of the emotionally projectile vomiting that occured on Saturday's Sound Off. Deace didn't have to do anything, the jihadic wing of the Hawkeye nation did it for him. And if ISU had ...

The second most beautiful thing is to listen to all the call in shows on TV and radio, to hear some Iowa fans call for the series to be ended or at least not be played that often. Hawkeye nation is gripping right now. This is the typical hawkfan before the game-ISU doesn't belong on the same field a...

If the season ended in December, I'd have to agree with you. But unfortunately for the Hawkeyes they had to play until March. One of the biggest detriments to Iowa's cause this year will be the presence of Bob Bowlsby, the Iowa AD, on the selection committee. Even though he excuses himself when they...

Here's why ISU would get in over Iowa. 9-7 in conference vs. 7-9 Road wins at then #2 Kansas and ranked Texas. Also wins against ranked Oklahoma and Texas Tech. Remind me when the last time Iowa beat anyone ranked or winning record? Oh yeah, let's not forget that most of Iowa's quality wins came wit...

I agree that at 17-10 ISU is no lock for the tourney. But I like their chances. Win two in KC this week and they're a lock. Win one and they're in strong contention. Lose the first and it's NIT bound. But ISU put it together when it counted and is playing as well as anyone in the league right now. W...

I don't know how anyone from the Big 12 could not vote for Morgan this year....if they do indeed make it to the NCAA tourney. They've lost two players due to academic and team infractions. They lost one early season starter due to injury. They don't have a rotation.....most players are averaging30-3...

Hey, I'm not bitching about the fouling KU had to do to get the lead down. I was merely pointing out that KU had more than 5 guys on the court trying to make sure KU had a chance to win. And just for added emphasis, I thought a refresher on the phantom 3 pointer was in order. Damn KU fan is bitter. ...

Little bitter aren't we cueball..... I must have seen the replay about 20 times...not once did I see it hit an ISU player before going out of bounds. The announcers didn't see it either. But of course I expect this kind of stuff in Lawrence, where you can score and uncontested 3-pointer between oppo...

The turnover caused by a Jayhawk that went out of bounds, was never touched by a cyclone and was awarded to the Jayhawks? Homan was standing in position, jumped straight up and Simien jumped into him and it was ruled a foul on Homan? Even the ABC announcers said the clones were screwed on that one. ...

Just hit a DAMN FREETHROW
Well, the refs tried to job ISU again in Lawrence but the Clones fought through it. Now, it they could have just hit ONE DAMN FREETHROW in the closing minutes I wouldn't have had to risk a coronary.
Okay Okie State, we've made it interesting for you. Time to step up.

Thank God almighty we're free at last! ISUs streak of 28 road conference loses is finally at an end. I would like to thank the Texas Longhorns for giving us the opportunity to end our road curse. And I would also like to thank the Iowa Hawkeyes for participating in this years NCAA Basketball season....

If BVD had taken a proactive approach to those pictures and suspended Larry for 6 games without pay, forced Larry into some concessions like AA counseling and traveling with the team after games, he wouldn't have needed to worry about saving face for ISU or hiring a new coach. The only reason Larryg...

Jon, BVD had a LOT more to do with what happen than you seem to believe. It was BVD negligence that allowed Larrygate to become the scandal it did. It was BVD that bungled the hiring of Larry's replacement. It's BVD that can't seem to win over the atheletic supporters or fans. No, I think the guy is...
