Alright. Just got home.

Time for some Monday night football in the San Francisco Bay area. Get to watch my Niners get their ass kicked by the best team in the NFC the Detroit Lions and Jared Goff.

That's ok. I got my back up at 7:00 pm and get to watch my Warriors get their ass kicked by the best team in the NBA the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Crystal clear and in the '60s. Another perfect weather day in the San Francisco Bay area.

Time to walk down to Giorgio's and grab my pizza and head home and settle in for a evening of basketball and football.

It's good to know your teams are going to get their ass kicked. Can't end up disappointed.

That being said.. I still may break out the Maker's Mark to make the games watchable.

I'd feel the same way if I had to live Nebraska.

Nothing to do, no where to go. Frozen tundra 8 months a year.

It's a consequence of being a failure at life.

Don't fret... in 8 months at the State Fair this beauty should be peaking.

Moving the inauguration indoors?

Too funny.

How are we ever going to take over Canada if we can't deal with a little cold?

Let alone Greenland?

The cold weather (6-10 with wind chill) is only part of the reason to move it inside. Security is the main thing.

If there's climate control in your dome, they could hold the ceremony there. Trump and his entire cabinet are already living in there rent free.

Cry me a river...

Time Magazine actually encourages liberals to cry with a friend on inauguration day.

Cry with a friend

It might seem counterintuitive, but if you need to shed a few tears on Inauguration Day, it’s healthy to
let them out with one caveat: You shouldn’t do it alone. “The grace and speed with which somebody recovers
from grief if they have an opportunity to cry with the support of another person—someone who they trust
and who they believe cares about them—is orders of magnitude improved,” Simon-Thomas says.

While research suggests crying alone isn’t overly helpful, crying around others often leads to comfort, support,
empathy, and stronger social bonds. “It’s really, really beneficial to have that emotion in an honest, authentic
way, and to reap the benefits we’re endowed with interpersonally.”

https://www.al.com/news/mobile/2025/01/ ... onkey.html
A barista in Mobile needed stitches and vaccinations earlier this month after a monkey jumped through a drive-thru window, climbed up her arm and bit her, according to an article from Lagniappe Mobile.

According to the report, Mobile Police Department officers were dispatched to a Starbucks in Tillman’s Corner on Jan. 10, where they learned that a customer’s pet monkey had jumped from a vehicle into the coffee shop through the drive-thru window.

The Starbucks employee, who asked to remain unnamed, sustained bites to her hands and a laceration to her ear that required stitches, she told Lagniappe.

Another employee was able to pull the monkey off the employee that was attacked, MPD Public Information Officer Blake Brown told Lagniappe. The monkey then got back into the customer’s vehicle and the customer drove away.

The employee said the customer had two monkeys in the vehicle when she pulled up to the drive-thru window. The customer later came into the Starbucks to discuss the incident, the employee said, but did not provide her name or information.
