Was that photo taken in southeastern Ohio by chance?

Reminds me of my childhood, except it would be outside and one of the ladders would be a tree.

Third world setup - like those Africans who use wood because they don't have access to metal. You do what ya gotta do with what you have. If it works, it works.

But that looks completely unsafe. Not as unsafe as those Chinese factory videos, but still unsafe.

So much wrong with this.

First point of failure will be the beam rolling off the ladders.
Second point of failure will be the cinder blocks laying on their sides. They should be vertical with wood protecting them from sharp points.
I don't know what to expect of the propane tanks. What's the crush point of those? Not much, probably.
Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.

What could go wrong? Seems perfectly stable. Probably one of Grifter's meth head's home workshop.

The single sling on the engine/trans surely couldn't tip and pull it all down. And no need for a chain on the trailer, solid as hell.

Well, safety issues aside yes they work. Pretty creative too, kind of a gorilla approach. And it looks like the screw driver is helping to heat the room. Fuse rating MDL 200.

Craftsman #2 100A flat blade. I had one of those for over 30 years. From back when craftsman actually made pretty good tool. Anyone try using a craftsman ratchet made any later than the Reagan Administration? Fucking garbage.

As for the engine hoist, at first glance I just saw the step ladder and beam. I figured, meh, I've done sketchier shit. Looks like a sturdy beam and good fiberglass ladders.

After reading the replies I put my readers on and took a look at the foundation.

The optimist in me hopes this was just a gag. A bit of fun. Trolling, if you will.
