What are your team's offseason needs?

Post by Th »

New England has to stop gambling on has-beens and draft or sign at least one corner who can cover. There are a few players in the secondary who are developing nicely but a lot of BB's schemes fell apart this year due to poor coverage downfield. Also, the offensive line looked as bad this year as it has since BB has been in town. Corey Dillon is a little older but who could run effectively if they were met in the backfield or at the line 8 out of 10 times they touched the ball? Brady did well until the Denver game in the divisional at carrying the team but he did most of that getting slammed at or just after he let the ball go.

Discuss. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Letting Ty Law go didn't turn to be a good move, did it?

The Patriots will regroup and they'll be in contention next year. I wish I had your guys' problems.

I would like to see the Bucs draft a speedy LB and a good size DT. I would try to pick up a WR and extra OL thru free agency.

Top 5 issues for the Lions...

1. Head coach: Can't think about personnel until this is addressed.
2. Quarterback: Is Harrington going to be here next year or not? It'll depend on the coach.
3. Offensive Line: To re-sign or not re-sign Backus? Draft a tackle with the first pick? Is DeMulling or Kosier the answer at LG?
4. Pass Rusher: Draft Kiawanuka with the 9th pick? They need to get more pressure from the edge.
5. Wide Receiver: Cut or keep Rogers?

Cowboys:

1. Offensive tackles
2. Free safety
3. Defensive pass rushers
4. Wide receivers
5. Qb of the future

For the Bolts:

Some shoring up of the OL
A complete new set of DBs

A QB who can win consistently and not lapse into making dumb mistakes.
Brees has some games where he looks like Pro Bowl material, and other games where I doubt he could tie his own shoes.

No Doubt!

I'm hearing rumors of T.O. playing in the Mile High City.

I think that would be HUGE, providing they sign him to a contract with a TO clause letting them DUMP him the first sign of attitude.

Denver needs a true big play receiver!

I think it would be worth the gamble.

I'd like to trade down... and pick up this monster, somewhere in the middle to late 1st round.

#1- Vernon Davis TE, 6'3 250 - has become a complete tight end as he is now an outstanding blocker ... size and speed create matchup problems ... an Iron Terp with the second-highest strength index on the team ... owns school strength records for a tight end in bench (460), power clean (355), vertical jump (40 inches), index (797), squat (685) and 40-yard dash time (4.41) ... all were recorded in spring of 2005. How could you not take him, best player available.

After watching Ben Watson run down Champ Bailey from the other side of the field(one of the most amazing things I've ever seen)... I want a guy just like that!
