Wow. NL = #1 QB, ML = #1 RB and DeSean = #1 WR...

Holy smokes, just saw the spread...Oregon gets 5.5.

Stone cold, lead pipe, Fort Knox action, right there.

Cal opened as 7 point favorites. Already down to 5.

Bet it quickly, if you can.

When I saw Dins' 1.5 point spread prediction post I was going to say that I think it's going to be higher than that. I was thinking it'd be be between 4 and 6, somewhere right in there: more than a field goal but less than the full 7...

I'm definitely rooting for Oregon. Oh hell yeah.

Not sure about the pick though. Two high scoring offenses and two suspect Ds makes for a lot of uncertainty about point spreads, especially in conference.

I definitely won't say that Oregon plus the points is a lock. There's a better than decent chance that the winner of the game, either team, will score a ton of points and cover the spread by a comfortable margin. Cal at home could easily be that team here.

A nice 47-46 Triple O.T. classic Pac 10 affair wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility here either, not in the least.

Far from this one being a lock in either direction this one actually feels like a game best left to simply enjoy rather than pick. I'll almost certainly avoid this game in the Pick 'Em...

Guess we can go ahead and add Dins' and Mgo's "Stone cold, lead pipe, Fort Knox action, right there..." and "Indeed. $$ in the bank on that one." predictions to the amazing "Locks Of The Week" losers tally...

Umm, like I said...

Wonder how long it'll be before m2's back in here? It's gotta be killing him right now, being unable to crow over this one...especially Lynch's YPC in this one, vs Stewart's.

:-)

Btw, I can't believe this thread had to be resurrected from Page 2. I fully expected Oregon Fan to have this one locked and loaded on Page 1 all day today...

In any case, Cal looks damn good now. Thing is, have they grown up enough yet to where they might finally be able to take that show out on the road? Right now they're playing better than USC. In Berkeley and maybe even on a neutral field I think I'd give the edge to Cal right now.

At the Coliseum, for all the marbles?

Remember, people, Cal has not won the Pac 10 in our lifetime. (The vast majority of us, anyway.) Cal hasn't played in a Rose Bowl in our lifetime.

Will Cal be able to ignore all that? Will they be able to go into the Coliseum and put a stop to the nation's longest regular season and home winning streaks?

USC is vulnerable. They're as beatable at home as they've been in half a decade.

But...we're talking about Cal, trying to win a huge roadie.

Either USC will find a way to win that one or Cal will find a way to lose it but one way or the other, fuck it, nope, Cal will not grow enough sack to take down USC's home winning streak.

Oregon might do it. ND might do it. Cal won't be the one. The only way Cal beats USC in the Coliseum is if Oregon takes the pressure off 'em by beating 'em to it.

this kid is the real deal, he's running against 8 in the box, and dominating.

Hell Wolfe ran all-over Ohio State's D, Texas couldn't do that.
