Anyone who has followed the PAC this year shouldn't have been the slightest bit suprised by that game.
BYU was on a roll going into the game, the Ducks were in a tremendous nosedive, after a hot start.
:bigshocker: that a team that had absolutely sucked for the last month of the season continued to suck during bowl season.
I think you'd be hard pressed to find a Duck fan who isn't questionong Bellotti's ability to take the team to the next level. In the last 10 years, there's been an amazing level of talent coming to Eugene, and Bellotti has two good seasons to show for it. Maybe at this point, Bellotti will take the AD job as a way to gracefully bow out, and stay employed.
Last night was disappointing, but no suprise whatsoever. I could have sworn I saw Jason Fife and Onterrio Smith out there on the field, stinking it up.
Although we did get a preview of next season -- it was fairly well proven last night that Patrick Chung can't play all 4(or 5) secondary positions all by himself. And two guys can't play QB between them. And Jonathan Stewart is still a whiner, despite his amazing talent. Johnny (not the) Franchise might want to grow a pair this winter, since there's some crazy-off-the-hook-badass running backs coming out of U&L high schools this year...a bumper crop of them, actually.

That faux diamond plate pattern on the unis doesn't intimidate opponents?![]()
The only PAC 10 teams I can see winning a bowl game is USC, UCLA, and Oregon St.

While I won't even try and defend Oregon's shitty performance last night, I will adress this bit of complete fucking stupidity --
Uhm...Oregon was 10-2 last year, and finished up with the #12 ranking. They've had a couple of top ten finishes in the BCS era. They won more games than any other PAC10 team in the 90's.
Good rule of thumb -- when you have to use flat-out lies to support your argument...it probably wasn't a very good argument to begin with.

Yeah Dinsy, that line might be OK from someone else but when you come on here and run your mouth about how good Oregon is and then flaunt this shit we don't have a lot of sympathy.
Maybe you should just stick to the main board where you can run your trolls.

wihtout some Nike tinker i don't think you'll see the OC chopper flame look again.

Wanna link that up, Hit-and-Run tard?Screw_Michigan wrote: that's pretty funny coming from the queen of backpedaling.
That's what I thought. That'll go about as well for you as you trying to link up one actual "take" you've ever had on...anything.
Since your fucking stupid, I'll explain something for you -- you won't find any less of a "backpedaller" than myself...always forward, never back. Show me one example to refute this, douche (hint: you can't).

Where was I looking for "sympathy"?
So, what you're saying, is that when it's going good for my team, I homer it up and talk about how they're the greatest thing since sliced bread, and when it's going bad, I talk about how badly they suck?
Yeah, I guess that makes me a real freak among sports fans, eh? :yeah, that'sarolleyes:

There's another one begging for a "link?"
That's some smacktacular shit, right there -- "uhm...errr...uhm....yeah, well....you have trolls."
It's like Gunslinger with a spellcheck.
OT -- I think another thing that's starting to bother Ducks fans, is Bellotti kept his streak alive of never once giving the opponent credit for playing a good game in his entire Oregon tenure. Not once. Have a little class every once in a while, Be-gone-ee. Seems like there's an awful lot of people wanting him to take the AD job lately.

i think oregon's viewed more as a dangerous program who can beat almost any team they play. their problem is belotti, which means they might lose to any team they play as well. classic example is the umich/wazzu stretch in 03. they won agains umich, but the score would've been 498-13 had it not been for stupid coaching decisions, and the next week it was 498-13, though wazzu had the 400+. they have enough talent that a decent coach could make a go of.
