No, because Georgia got hammerfucked by Tennessee. And Tennessee is a very mediocre team this year. tOSU would probably hammerfuck Tennessee. Unless tOSU had to play Kentucky and Arkansas leading up to that game. Then they might be "worn out" before that game.

But tOSU would be at an extreme disadvantage vs. any SEC team anyways because teams north of the Mason Dixon line need special AV equipment to watch SEC teams on film. Just too much SEC speed for regular VCRs and DVD players to handle.

I got step in and say Georgia is probably playing the best right now out of the teams in the SEC with Florida probably the second best and the Bulldogs beat Gators a few weeks ago. Moreno has gone for 100+ yards in each of the 5 games in the Bulldogs' winning streak, which has included wins over Florida, Auburn and Kentucky. LSU was leaking oil since the narrow loss against Kentucky...could've had 3 or 4 losses this year. I'd take Georgia over LSU in the SEC title game next week if they play.

Unless UGA plays for the conference title they do not deserve to play for anything. If you can't even win your division you certainly don't need to play for anything else.

We already know that OSU cannot handle the speed of the SEC(see BCS title game 2007 vs UF and osu's 82 total yards)

Unfortunately......we may never know as the SEC most likely will get shut out. There isn't a better conference and it shows week to week. Too bad LSU doesn't play in the Big Ten.....hell UF would ge undefeated in the Big Ten this year. What a shitty conference.

And a preemptive move before the first loser to post....."2-1 last year vs SEC"....blah, blah, blah....your best was destroyed by the SEC's best. End of story. I have a feeling that the SEC is going to manhandle the Big 11 this head-to-head....just going out on a limb.
Wow. Take a breather, spaz. I just think OSU would beat Georgia.

^^^^^^^^^^

again basing how tOSU would do against another SEC team based on the last MNC game...nice

that is like saying that ND is only 300 points away from a perfect season (sorry Terry and Killian)...

again YOU and neither do either of us have any idea how tOSU would do against an SEC team...

but rack lance...don't forget when players go to Big 10 schools they automatically become slower (even players from states like FLORIDA)

Would be the first time since the 2003 season.

Oh, but I guess that depends on one's definition of manhandle, right? SEC Ballsucking Homer typically waits until after the bowl games are over to come up with a convenient definition.

In a year where all sorts of weirdness has taken place, I don't see how OSU (one of the recent era's best teams) beating the University of Underachieving Bulldogs is so outside the realm of possibility.

Of course they can't. Ole Miss would rape OSU

Since the inception of the BCS...the Big 10 v SEC in head to head bowl games...24 total games...Big 10 is 13-11 against the SEC...so of course a sample size of 1 game is correct to base your argument on...

again I am not arguing that the SEC isn't the deepest..I am simply arguing that I don't buy the fact that the COMPETITIVE difference or gap between the other major conferences is that big...the Big 10 and SEC have played to a virtual deadlock on the gridiron but to listen to SEC fan the SEC has gang raped the big 10 forever...again basing your argument on ONE fucking game is shoddy...

Over the last 10 years the Pac 10 has a winning record vs the SEC, SEC homers will never accept that fact though

I agree. Maybe the Badgers will get a shot at them, just like they did Arky last year. I'd expect similar results. Along with Sudden Sam telling us how bad a team Georgia was.

It hasn't even begun yet. Just think how Max Headroom SECfan will go if Tennecleats ends up beating LSU next week.

Not necessarily. Based on how this season has gone, I wouldn't be surprised if they reached No. 1, after next week.

That would be messed up if somehow they ended up #2 if Missouri and West Virginia lose on Saturday. An at-large in the title game...gee, didn't we have this discussion last year?

Since this is a BCS discussion thread...

Is this what we're looking at for the 10-team field?

Big Ten winner: Ohio State (season over)
Big East winner: West Virginia (one game left, conference clinched, must win Saturday to make the title game)
Pac-10 winner: USC/Arizona State (both play Saturday, USC beats UCLA and they're in, Arizona State only gets in if they win and USC loses)
Big XII winner: Missouri/Oklahoma (title game Saturday, winner is in, loser may get at-large bid)
SEC winner: LSU/Tennessee (title game Saturday, winner is in, loser may get at-large bid)
ACC winner: Virginia Tech/Boston College (title game Saturday, winner is in)
At-Large #1: Georgia (season over, the best team not listed above)
At-Large #2: Kansas (season over, only one loss, likely to stay in the top 12)
At-Large #3: Hawaii (if they beat Washington, they're in because of the top 12 exemption)
At-Large #4: the best conference runner-up

At-Large #3: Hawaii (if they beat Washington, they're in because of the top 12 exemption)
At-Large #4: the best conference runner-up
Coupla points here:

1. I don't think the loser of the Meatgrinder championship game gets an at-large bid. If Tennessee loses, they're all but a mortal lock to drop out of the Top 14, and that would make them ineligible for an at-large bid. LSU would have 3 losses with a loss next week. I think Georgia gets an at-large bid out of the Meatgrinder, which would eliminate the LSU-Tennessee loser in any event.

2. I don't see the loser of the Big XII championship game getting an at-large bid either. The loser is likely to fall behind Kansas, who is in the best shape for an at-large bid. I'm almost positive that Oklahoma, with 3 losses, won't get an at-large bid. Missouri possibly could stay ahead of Kansas with a narrow loss vs. Oklahoma.

3. If both USC and Arizona State win, I think Arizona State is in as an at-large. They'd be a home team of sorts in the Fiesta Bowl.

4. Illinois is a possibility for an at-large bid, but needs some help. They need to move up one spot in the BCS rankings to be eligible for an at-large bid; that will happen if either Tennessee or BC loses. If in the Top 14, I think they get into the BCS if either: (a) tOSU makes the BCS championship game (in which case I think the Rose would be interested in the Illini); or (b) Hawaii loses to Washington.

5. There's a possibility that an ACC team (Virginia Tech if they lose, Clemson if Va Tech wins) will be eligible for an at-large bid, but I don't see this team getting a BCS at-large bid under any circumstance short of the BCS being required to take them under the rule prohibiting any conference from getting more than one at-large bid per conference. Slight possibility that Va Tech, with a loss, a Hawaii loss and a Tennessee win, makes the Sugar Bowl over Illinois.
