Too bad the hurricanes won't force 90% of the teams to cancel their games these next few weeks before conference season starts. They're all pretty much exhibition games anyways. Can't imagine many people were all that fired up for LSU-Troy anyways.

I think most of those match ups are pretty good from a fans perspective which is why I only questioned Florida/Miami.

Michigan and Notre Dame is a good game and there is a case that can be made that this is one of the more meaningful match ups, as far as the future of the programs, in the series' history.

I am just looking forward to the Wisky/Fresno State match up in general. Pat Hill is always out spoken and he puts together some teams that surprise people.

perhaps from nd's perspective, but not michigan's. weis hit the ground running and crashed a couple years in, presumably with more than enough time to instill a change of culture and implement his philosophy. he's on thin ice. michigan, on the other hand, will be in game #3 of a transition that's going to be much more painful than anyone expected, so an ass whooping, though frustrating, will be understandable. well, not an ass whooping, but perhaps a loss.

How is Notre Dame-Michigan a better matchup from a fan's perspective than Florida-Miami? I don't think it's even close if you're just a fan of football and not a fan of the teams.

Florida = good. Miami = program trying to get back to greatness. It's a test to see how close Miami is to getting back to where they want to be.

The winner of the ND-Michigan game doesn't prove anything because they both suck. It's a matchup of 2 crappy teams.
