I will be the first to rack a impartial SEC post. Props for recognizing the depth of the B12 this year and not just blindly spewing SEC propaganda. You sir know your football.

No way a short chunky QB in a gimmick offense will beat Texas in Austin. Orakpo and Kindle will intorduce themselves early and often and Colt will have the offense on cruise control by late in the second half.

Haven't had much of a chance to see Big 12 action this year. I either haven't been around to see the games, or the games have been blacked out here. I do agree that it's probably the strongest conference right now, and I will definitely make a point to watch the MU/Texas game next week. Very intriguing matchup.

Don't count on Daniel having two bad games in a row.
Late in the second half, eh? How late?
Rack your qualification.

NORMAN — Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops has been a college football playoff opponent, espousing the every-week-is-a-playoff theory that values the regular season.
During his Big 12 teleconference appearance Monday morning, however, Stoops made a telling concession, based on the strength of this year’s Big 12 Conference.
A reporter suggested the Big 12 is so loaded with quality — the Associated Press poll ranks Texas No. 1, Oklahoma No. 4, Texas Tech No. 7, Oklahoma State No. 8, Missouri No. 11 and Kansas No. 16 — that it runs the risk of eliminating itself from national championship contention.
“That is a fair argument for a playoff,” Stoops responded, “that as that does happen, you’ve still got some of the better teams that have beaten each other up and made each other lose still have an opportunity at the end of the year. You do raise a good argument for a playoff.”
Consider the upcoming schedule.
Missouri plays at Texas and Kansas comes to OU this week. OSU travels to Texas and Tech heads to Kansas the following week. Texas plays at Tech Nov. 1, then OSU plays in Lubbock Nov. 8.
Down the stretch, Texas must travel to Kansas, Tech visits OU and Missouri hooks up with KU.
Finally, there’s Bedlam in Stillwater
Nov. 29.
“It would be great if there were only two good teams in the conference, as long as we were one of them,” Jayhawks coach Mark Mangino cracked. “I wouldn’t have a problem with that. Unfortunately, we have a great conference here.”
“I think it is (the strongest) since I’ve been here, top to bottom,” Stoops said. “Is it a good thing? I wish it wasn’t. I guess for our sake, I wish there weren’t as many.”

Re: Big 12.
My prediction is that the XII will probably get 2 teams into the BCS. When this happenes, the rest of the bowl teams in the XII move up a notch as far as what bowl they probably belong to. Then, the XII gets butfucked in the mouth in the Bowl season and everyone calls them overrated.
This seems to happen every year the XII gets 2 teams in the BCS.

Missouri loss plays into OU hands.
They can now back door the BCS bid if they win out.
Unless MU wins the Big12 title game, they will get snubbed for a 1 or even a 2 loss OU team. OSU loss was huge to their bowl bid. Looks like another Cotton Bowl bid.

Re: Big 12.
Not exactly an out-on-a-limb type prediction this year. The Big XII and the SEC are both virtual locks to get two teams into the BCS this season, as it's a down year for the ACC, Big East, Big Ten and Pac-10. There will be at least one, possibly two, non-BCS teams in the BCS, and the Big Ten might sneak a second team in.IndyFrisco wrote:My prediction is that the XII will probably get 2 teams into the BCS.
