The most troubling thing about the Bush Administration's foreign policy and Condi Rice in particular was the observable fact that they weren't on the same page...or even holding the same book. Condi Rice was an adequate stateswoman...which meant she had absolutely nothing in common with people like Rumsfeld. I always felt sorry for Rice because it seemed to me that she genuinely wanted to advance our nation's interestes, while others she had to work with pursued their own ends, mostly nefarious ones.

Well, at least we've seen the bottom of the barrel, brought to you by the Bush Administration...there is literally nowhere to go but up.

The foundering economy under W, wags, was apparently so dire that John McCain's advisors had him "suspend" his campaign to address it. But sure, that was Obama's fault, right?

But like a lot under W and his nefarious keepers, those were just playtime numbers. I mean, perhaps it WAS important to bail out those banks, but not serious enough to try and guarantee they'd use the money to right their ships.

Of course it seems lot more serious now - because the first bailout was just a heist, and nigh on a trillion of our dollars were stacked up and handed over and are now packed into coffers - Wags, W conducted that dismal symphony. Now it's more serious because...read this clearly...the POTUS isn't lying about it.

I know it's easier to blame it all on the new folks, who have been in place for less than 50 days...but it's really pretty damn stupid and inaccurate.
