This guy makes a lot of claims, none of which are backed up by anything remotely resembling a proper citation.

It's amazing that in the age of the internet and 24-hour news that politicians and industry think they could pull something this brazen without anyone finding out.

Nah, unless someone's getting fukked, they steer clear of politics. And no, American taxpayers don't count. The majority voted for Obama, so it's considered "consensual" sex.Mikey wrote:It's amazing that the Enquirer hasn't picked up on it too.

From what i can tell, accounting practices for the gov. and corporations are just smoke and mirrors anymore anyways, so whats the big deal? Technically they are telling the truth, but morally(which nobody cares about anymore) they are lieing...?...

Taxpayers bailed out the leeches on Wall Street for 10 times more than they did GM, who actually produce something other than bad debt.
Let's talk about Goldman Sachs execs getting million dollar bonuses after betting the housing bubble would burst.

We spent 50 fucking billion dollars on GM, you piss-swilling fucktard. And now they are blantantly lying about paying the money back, so, yeah, we're going to have something to say about it, you fucking mongoloid.

I can't speak for WW because I am not an inbred right wing dumbass, but the way I read it was that he was calling you out for being a wall st dick sucking elitist assfuck because you decided to start a thread about this and not about wall st fucking the American taxpayer in the ass when the later used a MUCH bigger strap-on.88 wrote:So, if I understand your take, you believe it is perfectly fine for the the federal government and GM to collude to fuck over the U.S taxpayers because the federal government and Wall Street bankers previously colluded to fuck over the U.S. taxpayers? Re: GM Pays Back Bailout Loan With Taxpayer Caysh
And it was money well spent, unlike the 500 billion floated to keep the likes of AIG, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, BoA, Goldman Sachs, etc. solvent while they paid their top execs million dollar bonuses.mvscal wrote:We spent 50 fucking billion dollars on GM
Sounds like GM's claim that it's paid back some of the money is a creative accounting ploy. Maybe that's bullshit, but it doesn't piss me off nearly as bad as the fucks on Wall St. plungering the entire world economy with collateral debt swaps, wiping their cocks on the drapes, and then coming back for more like pigs at the trough.
Say what you will of GM, at least they're providing good jobs and have plans to hire another 160,000 workers.
Yeah, that 50 billion was well spent, even if they never pay back a dime of it.
Re: GM Pays Back Bailout Loan With Taxpayer Caysh
Again! Can you fucking read? I said he might be thinking that you are a wall st dick sucking fuckhole because you have never started a thread about how bad THEY fucked us but you will start a thread about how bad GM fucked us when wall st fucked us waaaaay worse. One line in a thread about knocking down houses to help the economy (
) does not even come close to being equal to a whole fucking thread on the subject. Good gawd you are dumb fuck.

my biggest problem with the auto bailout is the way the unions got moved to the head of the line and the secured debt holders (bonds) were told to GFY. they completely ignored long standing bankruptcy law.

That's weird, I thought there was a risk of a complete systematic failure in the national economy. The domino effect can be percieved, not just as a practical reality, confidence is everything - after all it was the speculators who drove up the price of petrol and pulled the trigger on the automakers.88 wrote: You are smoking crack. That 50 billion was taken from the U.S. taxpayers and handed over to GM with no realistic hope that it could ever be repaid. And why was this done? Because the UAW demanded some payback from the Democratic Party for all the felching it has done for it for the past 40 years.
Like it or not, there are lessons to be learned from the collapse of the Soviet Union. The interconnectedness of the economy couldn't stand the removal of a few key money losing institutions, when they were dissolved - something was supposed to magically show up and replace them (the invisible hand?), but nothing ever did.

I didn't follow GM's bankruptcy all that closely, but to the extent you're referring to wages and contributions to employee benefits plans, you would be incorrect. http://codes.lp.findlaw.com/uscode/11/5/I/507smackaholic wrote:my biggest problem with the auto bailout is the way the unions got moved to the head of the line and the secured debt holders (bonds) were told to GFY. they completely ignored long standing bankruptcy law.

Don't mean to interrupt the circle jerk, but ...
In what is looming as another public relations predicament for Goldman Sachs, the banking giant admitted today that it made "a substantial financial bet against the Gulf of Mexico" one day before the sinking of an oil rig in that body of water.
The new revelations came to light after government investigators turned up new emails from Goldman employee Fabrice "Fabulous Fab" Tourre in which he bragged to a girlfriend that the firm was taking a "big short" position on the Gulf.
"One oil rig goes down and we're going to be rolling in dough," Mr. Tourre wrote in one email. "Suck it, fishies and birdies!"
Where do you clowns get off pretending to be concerned about unions and bankruptcy provisions?
Look closely at the actual fuckstains of Goldman Sachs and quit yer tedious bitchin'

Did you know "bris" is Yiddish for "cafeteria"? We stole your money--and we've got loads of illegal nukes. Hi!
The petition's signatories include French philosophers Bernard-Henri Levy and Alain Finkielkraut as well as Daniel Cohn-Bendit, a Greens leader in the European Parliament.
Backers – who compare their goals to those of J Street, a liberal pro-Israel Jewish lobbying group in the U.S. – plan to present their position at a news conference at the European Parliament in Brussels on Monday.
Supporters hope to build a European movement that is both "committed to the state of Israel and critical of the current choices of its government."
Israeli columnist Yossi Sarid, a former Cabinet minister identified with Israel's dovish peace movement, praised the initiative in an op-ed published in the Haaretz daily Sunday.
"These are people who seize every opportunity to defend Israel publicly and remain faithful to it," he wrote. "But even their patience is running out and their hearts are filled with sincere concern."
