I've been busted 7 times for DUI, all in the same year and in three diffrent states.Never spent a day in the can. That was back in the early 80's when I was a juvenile delinquent

That would certainly make sense. BTW, this is a mercy-reply.

A food bank in KC would probably be the right move.

You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

So you're saying that leaving his young kid fatherless is the way to go? He hasn't caused any personal injury as a result of driving drunk AFAIK. Yes, that may be due to dumb luck, but that's a factor which the Courts can, and do, take into consideration in imposing sentence. As they should.

And before anyone accuses me of suggesting that he should go unpunished, that's not what I'm saying at all. I'm just saying that there's a pretty significant difference, in this case, between the appropriate level of punishment and capital punishment.

And btw, dude is white, fwiw. Not that that really matters (or at least should matter) here.
Constantly driving drunk is like waving a pistol around and shooting randomly. Eventually, someone's going to get hit. Better to off the dirtbag waving the pistol around first, no? At a minimum, someone should cut his seat belt out of his car. Hopefully he'll just get in a one car accident and off himself first.

He's doing 1 1/3 to 4 in state prison, so you don't have to worry about him driving drunk again anytime in the immediate future.

Obviously, it's someone with a severe problem. But it's also someone with at least some level of intelligence. Hopefully, he'll use this time to dry out, then to take stock of where he is, where his problem has put him, but how fortunate he is that the problem wasn't compounded by somebody dying or getting seriously hurt. If he does that, it would be a much better result than putting him to death, which isn't even an option anyway.

I think that list has a lot more to do with enforcement than with the actual number of drunk drivers. The police all over San Diego County are very aggressive in enforcing DUI laws, with sobiety checkpoints and special units detailed to hunt down and kill suspected drunk drivers.

Well shit, maybe San Diego isn't so bad after all. Maybe time for a zoo trip with the kiddos.

Make sure you drive down Harbor Blvd. It's where they display DUI drivers' heads on pikes.

Because you live in a police state not because of any real safety concerns.

Rack.

I think people between 0.08 and 0.12% should be able to drive if they have their hazards on, drive 5 miles below the speed limit, or under 35 mph, whichevers lower.

Then people would not know if they were drunk or blue hairs..which are about as dangerous as drunks anyway.

And here I could have sworn california had a state Supreme Court -- I guess not?

About 24 years ago, they tried that shit in Oregon, which resulted in about 1 or 2 or so DUII arrests in about a buhzillion man-hours of enforcement... which the state courts threw out after they got done laughing at the stupid cops.

Maybe they should reread that whole "4th Amendment" dealio.
