Stanford-VT
I was waiting for Mikey to start this thread, but what the hell. I have Stanford in my pick 'em and hoping that isn't the kiss of death for them.
Re: Stanford-VT
I hope you're right Mace. Not too impressive on the first drive, but that don't mean shit.
Re: Stanford-VT
First possession wasn't impressive but I expect Luck to show his stuff.
Re: Stanford-VT
One thing a lot of people don't realize is that Stanford has a really tough defense. The linebackers are outstanding and very hard hitters.
Re: Stanford-VT
Not smart trying to get tricky with VT. They should have punted and tried to win the field position battle.
Re: Stanford-VT
A tight defensive struggle so far.
Re: Stanford-VT
Yes!!
I predicted at least 250 on the ground and through the air. That was a nice chunk of rushing yards.

Re: Stanford-VT
Fuck field position. :) Just have your running back break off a long run untouched to the endzone. Nice blocking up front by the O-line.
Re: Stanford-VT
Catching the punt was a dumbshit move.
Re: Stanford-VT
I thought Stanford kids were supposed to be smart? What the hell was he doing fielding a punt on the 4 yard line?
Re: Stanford-VT
Another really stupid move.
Fuck!!

Re: Stanford-VT
Fucking rocket scientists...bwahaha!
Re: Stanford-VT
Yep, another dumb play but at least you can excuse an O-lineman for not having been in that situation before. Still, what the hell was he doing in the back of the endzone?Mikey wrote:Another really stupid move.

Re: Stanford-VT
That was one hell of a play by Taylor. Damn.
Re: Stanford-VT
This isn't going as planned...

Re: Stanford-VT
Fuckin' Tyrod Taylor is a one man show. If they can find a way to contain this guy it's no contest.
Re: Stanford-VT
Big XII officials missed the most blatant PI call of the season. Maybe those Husker fans have a point. :)
Re: Stanford-VT
I don't know. The ball was about 5 feet behind the receiver.
Re: Stanford-VT
Put it this way, they aren't fast. That's why Taylor is so scary and why Oregon was able to run away from them.
Re: Stanford-VT
Bullshit call, the ball was out of bounds.
Re: Stanford-VT
Nice fuckin catch.
Re: Stanford-VT
I have a feeling that one of these teams is going to break out in the second half. Not sure which one, though.
Re: Stanford-VT
This is more like it. 98 yards in two plays.
And they made the PAT too!!

Re: Stanford-VT
I think I said 250 on the ground and 250 through the air.
Right now they're at 177 and 177.

Yep, looks like they're bustin' it open. Looking good.

If by "break out," you meant "stop playing defense,"
you're $$$$$$.

Re: Stanford-VT
Worst Bowl Season Ever. January 3rd, and not a single memorable game. Wisky/TCU was decent.
Props to the Furd on this drubbing. Pretty well saw this coming, though perhaps not this bad.

What the hell are you talking about?
This game is memorable as all fuck.

Re: Stanford-VT
Holtz, May and all the other PAC10 doubters can now officially suck my dick.
Go Ducks.
Go Ducks.
Re: Stanford-VT
It was second and 10. What are they supposed to do, run the ball three times and punt, just to soothe your sensitive ass?Papa Willie wrote:Question, though. You're up 21 with 5 minutes left and still throwing long passes? The fuck?
You don't like it, all you have to do is stop it.

Go for TWO, Jim. Go for TWO!Mikey wrote:It was second and 10. What are they supposed to do, run the ball three times and punt, just to soothe your sensitive ass?Papa Willie wrote:Question, though. You're up 21 with 5 minutes left and still throwing long passes? The fuck?

Allbarn would finish in 4th place at best in the PAC this year.
Oregon is going to kill the best the SEC has to offer.
Re: Stanford-VT
Not a bad idea. I called 41-14. We need another point.Mace wrote:Go for TWO, Jim. Go for TWO!Mikey wrote:It was second and 10. Now we just need a few more yards on the ground for 250 / 250.

It's just shitty sportsmanship, but that's how the Pac10 rolls, so....
Yeah, the way he hands the ball off to the running back is just magical.
Allbarn and the SEC is about to see what PAC football is all about in a week.
