Stanford-VT

Post by Mace »

I was waiting for Mikey to start this thread, but what the hell. I have Stanford in my pick 'em and hoping that isn't the kiss of death for them.

I hope you're right Mace. Not too impressive on the first drive, but that don't mean shit.

One thing a lot of people don't realize is that Stanford has a really tough defense. The linebackers are outstanding and very hard hitters.

Not smart trying to get tricky with VT. They should have punted and tried to win the field position battle.

Yes!!

I predicted at least 250 on the ground and through the air. That was a nice chunk of rushing yards.

Fuck field position. :) Just have your running back break off a long run untouched to the endzone. Nice blocking up front by the O-line.

I thought Stanford kids were supposed to be smart? What the hell was he doing fielding a punt on the 4 yard line?

Yep, another dumb play but at least you can excuse an O-lineman for not having been in that situation before. Still, what the hell was he doing in the back of the endzone?

Big XII officials missed the most blatant PI call of the season. Maybe those Husker fans have a point. :)

Put it this way, they aren't fast. That's why Taylor is so scary and why Oregon was able to run away from them.

I have a feeling that one of these teams is going to break out in the second half. Not sure which one, though.

I think I said 250 on the ground and 250 through the air.

Right now they're at 177 and 177.

If by "break out," you meant "stop playing defense,"
you're $$$$$$.

Worst Bowl Season Ever. January 3rd, and not a single memorable game. Wisky/TCU was decent.

Props to the Furd on this drubbing. Pretty well saw this coming, though perhaps not this bad.

It was second and 10. What are they supposed to do, run the ball three times and punt, just to soothe your sensitive ass?

You don't like it, all you have to do is stop it.

Allbarn would finish in 4th place at best in the PAC this year.

Not a bad idea. I called 41-14. We need another point.

Now we just need a few more yards on the ground for 250 / 250.

It's just shitty sportsmanship, but that's how the Pac10 rolls, so....

Yeah, the way he hands the ball off to the running back is just magical.

Allbarn and the SEC is about to see what PAC football is all about in a week.
