Not much to contest here. Buffalo has no defense & a noodle arm career back up QB as their starter, nuff said. Detroit misses Best's breakaway speed & the threat he provides to go coast to coast on any play. Zero run game. Atlanta can't put a streak of wins together for a variety of reasons. KC & SD stink, Denver might finish 2nd in the division, not that it matters since its mostly garbage.

I think your memory is a little hazy on Arizona's incredible run to the Super Bowl.

Warner and the Cards went undefeated within their division that season but only managed to go 3-7 outside the division. They caught fire at the right time and made a run.

Numbers and talent wise? Arizona's team was much more inferior than this year's Houston team.

Arizona was dead last in rushing offense in 2008. Houston is 1st.
Arizona was 2nd in passing offense. Houston is 10th.
Arizona was 3rd in total offense. Houston is 2nd.
Arizona's defense was ranked 19th. Houston is 3rd.

You also have to consider Houston's MO with their offense. They weren't asking a lot of Matt Schaub before his injury. Houston is on pace to only make 464 passing attempts this season. Arizona made 630 in 2008.

After looking at those numbers you tell me which situation is a more promising for a QB?

I say the Bears will miss Cutler more but they've got a very favorable schedule remaining...3 more games with AFC West opponents, home with Seattle and at Minnesota. The Green Bay game won't mean much in the division race by Week 16...the Pack should have it wrapped up by then. Even without Cutler, I can still see them finishing 4-2/5-1 with who is left to play.

I was thinking this could work out well for the Lions but I've got a feeling the Bears may still finish with a better record in their final 6 games than the Lions. The Lions still have two games with Green Bay and one with New Orleans. I'm thinking they drop those three but probably win against the Chargers, Raiders and Vikings. The Lions are going to post a 10-6 record.
