Bama's will go way up in a couple of months.

I don't. Oregon has shown they have all the fight of Scut Farkus when an elite defense punches them in the mouth.

After the embarassing defensive performance last Saturday, we shall see if Smart and Saban get the defense back on track or if the Aggies exploit them this week. If Bama struggles against Johnny Football, I'm afraid we may not see the UA-OU pairing in the BCS title game.

The right side of that O-line isn't all it's been cracked up to be.

It's either going to tighten up or get exploited.

IF Oregon wins out, I'd just as soon play Bama, to silence any naysayers.

But let's play the rest of the games first. I think one of the Big Four is going to go down before it's all over (based on gut feeling)... ND vs USC being to obvious candidate. Oregon has a couple of very solid defenses to get past/through, too (but the offenses of both are quite questionable).

But there's really only one game left... Kal on saturday night.

You Old Men in the SEC don't seem to understand that the more you give the ball to your opponent, the more they tend to score.

It's really not all that complicated. When you people start playing some offense, you'll understand.

Again, look at efficiency numbers (many different way to calculate it) -- Oregon generally trails only Bama and LSU... except in the red zone, where they're better.

Sounds like Faux News talking up Romney on Tuesday.

Don't count on it. Stanford's pass defense isn't that bad. It's just that teams seem to have given up trying to run against them.

Look at the PAC12 pass defense stats

third lowest yards per attempt
second fewest TDs against in spite of having the most attempts
completion pct in the middle of the pack

And they've already played the three best (or at least most prolific) passing offenses in the conference.
They pretty much shut Barkley down, as much as he can be shut down. No TDs, 2 INTs and only what, about 260 yards?

OSU just might have a chance, if Vaz actually survives the game.
