Trump is embarrassing. He's scary as hell. He's not presidential. But...this was the right move. It's as much a message to China/North Korea as it is to Assad.

Hissy fit? Damn you really must be off your meds today.Papa Willie wrote:Would you be throwing a hissy fit if Hillary were the President doing this right now?Mikey wrote:Where did I ever say that Hillary was my "hero?"
What's the matter with you, all those fat cells starting to pollute your brain?
Will you ever get over Hillary running for President?
Let me help: NO

That being said, I think it was a pretty appropriate response.
You got me mixed up with Goobs. I wasn't a Democrat during the Civil War, OR Reconstruction.Papa Willie wrote:So Mikey - is it wrong for one to change their mind?
After all (as quoted from Jokey over at .net):
Your whole party changed their minds, didn't they? :wink:The Democrats opposed the abolition of slavery and helped form the original KKK to stop reconstruction after the Civil War, nuff said.
How can someone confuse a fat, balding, boring, Cali halfwit with a handsome, charming, virile cheesehead? Ponderous.Mikey wrote:You got me mixed up with Goobs.

Remember who we're talking about here...Papa Willie once confused his dick with an Oscar Meyer Wiener. Can't blame him for that though, he'd never actually seen it before.Goober McTuber wrote:How can someone confuse a fat, balding, boring, Cali halfwit with a handsome, charming, virile cheesehead? So it doesn't matter who's policy led up to the gassing, only who was in office when it happened? Pathetic reasoning.Mikey wrote:

1) The recent nerve gas attack happened while Trump was president - not Obama

But I read where Trump gave Russia notice of the bombing before he notified Congress. And if that is true, then that is really fucked up.

The only guys that bothered with asking permission from congress in the last quarter century or so, were both named Bush. And ten minutes after W got permission, the dems who granted it turned on him, so why fukking bother?Jsc810 wrote:I have no problems in notifying Russia; it would have been dangerous not to do so.
I just think that it was wrong to notify Russia before Congress.

The way those backstabbing fukks act these days, why should he? I would notify them as the operation is being carried out, no sooner.Jsc810 wrote:It is not an issue of asking Congress, as the President has independent authority for at least some military action.
Again, my point is on the notification of Congress. And if in fact Trump notified Russia before he notified Congress, then that is pretty fucked up.

I disagree. The president only has the authority to act militarily when there is a dire and immediate threat to the United States-- not just for convenience' sake. The power to declare war either in word or in deed lies with Congress.Jsc810 wrote:It is not an issue of asking Congress, as the President has independent authority for at least some military action.

Wow. And you obviously have absolutely nothing. Why even attempt to reply?Python wrote:Good God, that was even worse than your last post.
"I was factually correct." What a dweeb.
Just a guess, there's probably no line of communication between the two. Strikes me as a massive oversight or wilful ignorance.Shlomart Ben Yisrael wrote:The Pentagon trumped the president.

Well, Hilary was the candidate of the generals and admirals. I think it was all a setup by Trump and Putin to draw attention away from the fact that the Russians fucked with our election process. Brilliant!War Wagon wrote:In a nutshell, this is the way I see it.Wolfman wrote:The Russians aren't about to start WW3 or 4 or whatever. Saber rattling...
But instead of 'saber rattling', I would call it more a 'dick measuring' contest that accomplishes little or next to nothing except some sensationalized headlines.
In that sense, mission accomplished. I was getting sick of hearing non-stop about how Russia influenced the election or whateverthefuck else they were all babbling about anyhow.
It was time to change the subject.
