Ban the box is happening in PGH. City Council is fond of passing laws that will not stand up in a court of law. Proponents can only shrug at the inevitable question...how do you keep the wrong people away from positions they can't handle? I can see trying to help deserving people get back on the rig...

I don't think PSU should have been booted from the B1G. That's mostly hand-wringing nonsense. This James Franklin cat though...the media has a love affair with him but I just don't see it, at least not yet. Great recruiter but I'm not sold on his coaching ability. Time will tell. Franklin definitel...

Hey...Bradley is a great recruiter, a player's coach who inspires loyalty. I think his positives would really begin to emerge over a span of a few years, if he is lucky enough to retain the position that long. He's definitely not going to dramatically improve a defense with a flashy new scheme...he'...

The Cult of JVP is still alive and well in Happy Valley, see the reaction to Franklin's decision to strip the last names off the jerseys. Here's a note to PSU fans and Cultists: Anytime you're making a decision to harken back to the JVP era, make the OPPOSITE decision. MSU fans are right: PSU shoul...

So - in the past couple of year I've really backed away from the fray. The community is really divided in a number of ways. I spend good hours and/or weeks of my life thinking too much about all of that stuff, and ended up just trying to enjoy the games as much as I could. Franklin has this thing mo...

Fry the fish ? Fry ?? What the fuck are you talking about ? Frying fish ? You've never heard of a fish fry? Perhaps I should've specified deep fried, especially with catfish. But if you've never had a properly seasoned, breaded and fried catfish filet, you don't know what you're missing. Derron, wh...

I'm not really a gun person. I would be in favor of sensible restrictions that would not hamper the rights of gun owners that can operate and secure them capably. I think that is possible. However - I don't really think laws of that kind would do very much to prevent situations like Newtown. It seem...

I have only seen him play one game, but he looks like a rather special talent to me. He has a superior feel for the game and he really is dead-on accurate with passing while on the run. Dennis Dixon he is not.

I was hoping to make it up to the game this weekend, but it didn't work out. The game itself reminded me of the 2010 contest, where PSU looked like they had it in them for a half, but not for the second half. I've watched a number of Buckeye games on TV this season, and I have been impressed at the ...

His butt suddenly vibrated, his sphincter widening. “Holy crap on a stick!” he shouted. His butt opened up and a small brown monkey with wings crawled out of it.
